7 Days Tour From Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Your 7 days tour from Tangier starts in this city in the north which is located in the north of Africa but has a strong Spanish, Italian and even Portuguese connection. Next you will move through beautiful countryside to reach the distinctively painted blue Rif Mountains’ town of Chefchaouen. When you get there you will be greeted by the blue-washed town’s stunning outlook of blue streets that considerably enhances the serenity of the imaginary town. It has small twisting streets, small stores with hand made products, and mix of both Spanish and Moroccan styles of architecture.

Day 2:  Chefchaouen City Tour by Yourself

To begin with, you can stop in Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the main square where you can take Moroccan homemade tea and contemplate buildings. Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

This is one of the most accurate examples of Roman architecture I have ever seen with internal mosaics and columns and large arches. Next can be visited the imperial city of Meknes with the huge gate Bab Mansour, the royal stables and the Medina. Morocco’s Meknes is less energetic comparing it to other imperial cities but it is however filled with more history and culture. Last of all, go to Fes- The oldest and most complete medieval city in Morocco will astound you. The day will conclude as you reach Fes, arising with an energetic spirit, and immediate making you fall in love with this city.

Day 4: Fes City Tour with Local Guide

Today, spend a full day, exploring Fes, one of the most excitement holding cities in Morocco in a guided tour. First, take the old medina which is place listed as the world heritage site for the best splitted narrow streets, profitable souks, and amazing architectural structures. In addition, you can spend your time wandering round the old Al Quaraouiyine University and enjoying the Facade of Bou Inania Madrasa. When you walk around in the middle of souks, you get to see different types of shops that include spices, clothing, furniture, lamps and even leather Car many souks are run by locals, some will see stalls selling exotic spices and cuisines, others will see traditional clothing,carved wooden furniture, brass lamps and a variety of leather Car.

Day 5:  Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Arfoud – Merzouga

For the fifth day we start from Fes and head south towards the town of Ifran, known locally as the ‘Moroccan Switzerland’ because of its architecture and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Then proceed to the city of Azrou where, in addition, you should look at the cedar tree ficus and the Barbary MACAQUEs. There is still more as the journey lasts; the Middle Atlas town of Midelt is located betwixt the Middle Atlas and the Higher Atlas Mountain. Breakfast in the morning then go back to Merzouga on the road to previous destination of Arfoud. Climb the Todra Gorge – more cliffs will meet you; a long, narrow canyon that attracts tourist hikers and lovers of rock climbing. It is an ideal place to take time and tour since the environment is cool and the view is majestic. Head to the Rose Valley, where fragrant roses grow specifically during spring. however you can also buy locally, rose based products like the perfumes and oils from the markets.

Lastly, the day will end in Ouarzazate – a city sometimes referred to as “the Hollywood of Africa” because of the amount of movies shot here. Different terrains and historical kasbahs of this area make this location suitable for shooting of films.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech
