5 Days Tour From Marrakech to Tangier

Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi-n-Tichka – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Your 5-day tour from Marrakech starts with a ride through the High Atlas Mountains at the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. This route is incredibly picturesque and there are some turn offs whereby you can take pictures of the views. Your first big station is Telouet where you will visit the ancient Kasbah that used own the Glaoui family. Proceed to the spectacular Ait Ben Haddou – a fortified village located on UNESCO’s list of the world heritage sites trough which many movies were made. Vist the andarach old cliff rising majestically like a fortified village; the moving on to Ouarzazate the astral gate to the sahara and the Cinematographic capital of Morocco.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Skoura – Todra Gorge – Arfoud – Erg Chebbi Merzouga

Your morning should be spent in one of Morocco’s exquisite villages – the Skoura palm groves, gorgeous oases, and old kasbahs. Then, you can visit Todra Gorge which is just as impressive through huge rocks on both sides of the gorge. Take a walk through the gorge and get to feel the breeze. Next visit Arfoud a most spectacular city fame for fossil and desert areas. Dr.. Reach Merzouga where you’ll find the beauty of the Sahara. Cross sandy desert on camel back to enjoy the sunset on the top of dunes of Erg Chebbi. Experience a night in a desert camp, have a dinner the Arabian way with the stars above you.

Day 3 : Erg Chebbi – Arfoud – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifran – Fes

for the third day of this 5-day tour from Marrakech, since there are only limited opportunities to take breathtaking photos over the dunes, one must wake up early enough to catch the sunrise before returning to Merzouga. Start moving north and cross the deserted Ziz Valley which is full of absolutely endless rows of dates. Have a break in Midelt and then carry on through Middle Atlas mountains. You will also get to drive through the cedar gorges of Azrou, and may be lucky enough to see the rock Barbary monkeys. Ifran is a beautiful town where many tourists compare the place to Switzerland since it is in Morocco; the destination is before Fes, a historical city known as F-E-S in the Arabic language.

Day 4 : Fes City Tour with Local Guide

Begin your self-paced walking tour of culturally rich Fes, Morocco’s religion city. Learn the narrower streets of the Fes Medina which is considered as the UNESCO listed site. Attractions include the Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest university in the world, the Royal Palace and the souks in which to buy local artisan products. Visit the old tannery which was famous for making leathers for as long as I can remember. Spend as much time as you can in order to get the feeling of this country and its history, based in this amazing city.

Day 5 : Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen – Tangier (Ending the Tour)

for the last of our 5-day tour from Marrakech, we leave for Meknes, another Imperial City famous for its gates and buildings the same as those in Volterras. After a short visit, go on to Volubilis; discover the remains of the once great Roman city and find out more about the history of Morocco. Then proceed to the blue city of Morocco; the Chefchaouen town is located in the Rif Mountains. While walking through the town, one can not miss the fact that most of the streets are painted the colors of the ocean, blue. Last, go to Tangier which is the last destination of the tour.
